🌿 Welcome to Ash Class

Ash Class is taught by Miss Cove, our Early Years Lead, who believes Early Years is the best place to be - it’s where the magic happens and the adventures begin. She has a keen interest in child development and loves projects that bring all areas of learning together. Play Projects are a big favourite in our classroom!

🌟 Our Team

Mrs P (Mrs Pittard) is our full-time teaching assistant. She is creative, loves being outside, and enjoys supporting children with their reading. She also brings valuable knowledge about speech and language.

Mrs Scutt is our part-time teaching assistant and loves playing with the children outside.

🌼 Our Wonderful Environment

Reception children love being outdoors, and we are lucky to have plenty of space to explore. We enjoy our mud kitchen, bike area, nature area (where we spend Wednesday afternoons), and a large undercover space that we use in all weathers.

🎒 How We Learn

In Reception, play is at the heart of everything we do. It helps children consolidate learning, follow their interests, and show us how they learn best. Alongside this, we also offer structure and routine to help children feel secure. Each day includes phonics, maths, story time and fruit time.
