Below you will find key information and resources to support your child over the coming half-terms in Rowan Class.

The spelling homework and optional topic homework grid are available here, along with the Year 1 and Year 2 Common Exception Words. Children will continue to be assessed on these to ensure they have a secure foundation in spelling as they progress through the school.

You will also find the statutory spelling lists for Years 3 and 4. These words, together with the spelling patterns for the year, are included within the weekly spelling homework lists.

Maths homework this term and into the next half-term will focus on times tables for both Year 3 and Year 4, continuing up until the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) in mid‑June. Please note that the MTC is only for Year 4 children.

• Year 3 will begin with the 3, 4 and 8 times tables before moving on to the 6, 7 and 9 times tables.
• Year 4 will work on all times tables up to 12 × 12 to help them feel confident and well-prepared for the MTC.
